Support and Customer Success Officer at Gorilla Experiment Builder
Jade is the Support and Customer Success Officer at Gorilla Experiment Builder. She completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Manchester and postdocs at the University of York and the University of Southampton. Her main goal for science is to promote open and reproducible research practices in a way that is empowering and accessible, particularly to early career researchers. This led her to co-lead the Non-Interventional, Reproducible, and Open Evidence Synthesis (NIROES) collaboration, as well as her involvement in groups such as ReproducibiliTea."
About Dorothy:
"When I first became aware of the issues of replicability and reproducibility during my undergraduate degree, Dorothy was one of the first scientists I came across that was speaking openly and honestly about the topic and so I avidly followed her blog. She was a prominent voice as I then became involved in discussing the issues of open research and incorporating better practices into my own work. It wasn't until the Advanced Methods for Reproducible Science workshop at Cumberland Lodge in January 2019 that I first met Dorothy, and had the opportunity to witness and experience first-hand her dedication to supporting early career researchers who want to create change. It was with Dorothy's prompting and encouragement that we set up the Non-Interventional, Reproducible, and Open Evidence Synthesis (NIROES) collaboration. She helped us, as early career researchers, gain the confidence to formally identify a gap in the literature that we had long suspected existed, and to turn that into something actionable. It was a very empowering experience when she got us to realize that we could solve the problems that we saw rather than waiting for someone else to solve them for us! Her continued support, both in NIROES and beyond, is a testament to her dedication to improving science not only through her own work but also by mentoring others to do the same."
